Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy in Henley on the adjoining borders of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire
Sounds Positive is led by me, Lysette Offley, BA (Hons), PGCE, Dip Hyp, Dip C Hyp, Dip PLT & SRT, MNCH (Reg), MNLP, NCNLPP, HPD, WWPrac. CNHC registered
My background is in teaching - 20 years in mainstream schools, in fact - and I've subsequently racked up loads of experience using Cognitive Hypnotherapy, including Coaching, NLP, EFT and many other brief therapies, which means I bring a rich collection of resources to my clients, always with a highly professional approach.
I aim to inspire adults and children alike to conquer their fears and achieve their goals. My particular interests and specialisms are teenagers and learning skills, stress, anxiety and tricky medical conditions such as anorexia, psychogenic vomiting, Tourette’s, focal dystonia, gastrointestinal reflux disease, M.E., enuresis, stress and depression - to name but a few.
I particularly enjoy working with those tricky medical issues and it's a constant source of amazement to me, just what a difference a client can make with a little guidance. I often hear back from clients, years later, who've reported being completely clear of their problem. And while there's never any guarantee, I'm regularly delighted by their results, as, of course, are they.
In addition to practising, I also teach others and am an Advanced Therapeutic Specialist, a Project You Coach and a teacher of NLP, Neurological Repatterning, Advanced Thinking and Emotional Intelligence.
I hold a Hypnotherapy Practice Diploma, and further diplomas in Hypnotherapy, Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Past Life Therapy, Spirit Release Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming to Master Practitioner level and Advanced New Code NLP.
I am a member of the QCHPA and the CNHC and am bound by their code of ethics. I am an NHS Independent Provider (Code 8HF46).
How it works
Sounds Positive offers support in several ways:
- One-to-one personal sessions at my riverside practice, offering a private, relaxed environment in which to explore the issues in your life
- Live, online one-to-one sessions using Skype video
- Group workshops covering a variety of topics including stress management, positive thinking, emotional intelligence, weight loss and stopping smoking
- An expanding range of highly effective self-help programmes, available to buy online with immediate download
How to find me
Sounds Positive's riverside practice is based near Henley on Thames, close to London and the M4 and M40, between Maidenhead, Reading, Oxford and High Wycombe. It's just a 5-minute walk from Shiplake railway station, and there's plenty of parking.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a continually developing field, demanding constant learning. I have enjoyed many Landmark Corporation courses including extensive courses on Relationships, Intimacy and Effectiveness; and Tony Robbins Courses including Life Mastery in Namale, Fiji, Date with Destiny in Brisbane, Australia as well as Advanced New Code NLP with Dr John Grinder (co-founder of NLP), in Aix en Provence, France.
I have also undergone extensive training with:
