EFT: Emotional Freedom Technique
Everything is made of energy and EFT helps you to make shifts in yours to release negative emotions.
EFT, or ‘Emotional Freedom Techniques’ was developed by Gary Craig, and is based on Einstein’s observation that everything, including our bodies, is made of energy; and the theory (shared by ancient Eastern philosophies such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong) that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in this energy system.
EFT seeks to unblock stuck energies and allow the body to self-heal, whether it’s a physical or emotional problem you’re addressing. It is a very effective protocol for clients to practise between sessions to keep themselves on track, and is useful for all challenges including anxieties such as:
- Anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Phobias
- Upsetting memories e.g. divorce, bereavement, accidents, war, natural disasters etc
- Anger
- Emotional eating
- Cravings
- Fear of abandonment
- Chronic pain
- Headaches
- Asthma
- Depression
- Dyslexia
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- ADD/ADHD
- Allergies
- High blood pressure

EFT will also help:
It will even help with fear of public speaking and other phobias, improving your golf and other sports, quitting smoking, losing weight, lowering stress, building confidence, exam nerves, sexual issues and other issues such as anger and jealousy.
EFT is similar to acupuncture, but instead of using needles, you stimulate meridian energy points by tapping with your fingers. This unblocks the energy lines, bringing success, often where other, more conventional methods have failed.
EFT is a very useful self-help tool – putting the client back in control, and consequently, I often recommend the use of EFT as part of a personal programme; and particularly in conjunction with the Sounds Positive downloadable self-help Cognitive Hypnotherapy programmes.
